What can I say about it, look at my age range. Somehow those seeing it assume the upper number.

@samueltyler2 I peg your range according to the 83 and 86 y/o's I know. If a person knows no one in that range, your opinion may well hold for them.

@katydidnt so they are good looking healthy 83-86 year olds.

@samueltyler2 I'm not sure how you know that, but yes they are. Looks and health aside, I like knowing an age range so I can estimate the amount of overlap in "things remembered" that we share. For example, with a young person, one parameter would for me be whether the remember who Johnny Carson was, and how much his personality may have accreted onto theirs. A general "what we have in common."

@katydidnt that is so funny. A junior high school friend of mine sent an image to me with an image of a young Jack Parr with a mustache, asking how many would be able to identify him.

@samueltyler2 I don't remember his ever having a mustache but I'm pretty sure I could recognize him. There are still old videos of Paar floating around. I never knew his shows firsthand but have seen plenty photo references because of his importance to talk shows. Ditto, Steve Allen.
