Can you appreciate someone’s art if you don’t respect their character ??

@SinlessOnslaught The post was about the art and the author, not the ideas in the art piece itself. That is an entirely different thing.

@CrazyMusicLover Lots of bad people painted, can you appreciate their paintings? I wouldn't be able to focus on them.

@SinlessOnslaught Yes if the theme isn't evil or crass and I find some aesthetic quality in it.

@CrazyMusicLover If we're talking about someone who did some truly bad things, I would be too caught up with the fact that the painting would be up for people to see and comment on, perhaps even use it as a talking space to support and glorify more ideas like that.

This is coming from someone who lives in a country where everything is considered offensive and subject to censorship but I'm not without a few real experiences myself.

Anyway I respect you, sorry for coming in the way I did. I think I may have offended.

@SinlessOnslaught I know that people tend to act like angry apes and try to guilt trip and crucify others through their own sense of morality, no matter how overly sensitive and hysterical it seems to me, so for example if I listen to some music made by evil authors or authors with some questionable background and worldviews, I don't shout it out to the world at every opportunity I get.
