I've been sober the last 10 years so enormously.
I've learnt who I am. I've learnt to live with emotion and not squeeze it down with booze or drugs.
I've found gainful employment and how to be a responsible employee, turn up, engage etc
I've become an adult who's largely for the most part content and happy and most importantly sober.

@KatyO83 Good job, love!!!!
I've experienced a lot of growth. In that time I became mom and lost both my parents, traveled the country in a van, had my heart broken and made it through it all only feeling stronger, braver, more patient and I take care of myself much better.

Having gone through illness then retirement forced early because of that yet again accepting what I cannot change has been top of the agenda.

I speak my mind more and set the tone for how I allow people to treat me. Many don’t realize it, but we condition how people treat us.

I recently turned 75. I'm very much aware I'm just a shadow of the person I used to be. There isn't much of me left. No loss.

I've become stronger in mind, and more willing to examine previous decisions.

Less about making everyone else comfy & content & more about making myself that way.
