What was the hardest for you to quit/stop doing ??

Finding excuses to eat junk food. In my family, we always used treats to celebrate a happy event, or console ourselves after a sad event. Food was a reward, a comfort, and something to do when bored. I've had to reset my thinking.

I'm actually on day 3 without coffee, for the 100000000 time!:)
The hardest have been the negative self talk and judgemental attitude but hey ! I'm doing much much much better 😊

Apparently working out too hard. 2 leg injuries in 6 months , all from doing the right round house kick on the heavy bag . I just got in a much softer kick target, but i am still on restriction for another month . 😔

@TexChik Have you tried one of the thinner bags? My heavy bag is 100lbs, which is honestly too much for most kicks (imho). I’m actually regretting the purchase tbh. Half the time it feels like just punching (or kicking) cement. 🫤

@Adogslife That was the point to toughen up your knuckles and shins back in the day. My heavy bag was huge and felt like concrete. The new bag has beans and sand, with a thick layer of memory foam padding. Feels like I am kicking a cloud, but it is fairly heavy on its own.

@TexChik Good call. I should probably stop being so stubborn and replace mine. If you’re a little off on a back fist it really sucks. I stopped using it for probably six weeks when my wrist stung, almost like a carpal tunnel feeling. Ruining my stick work just isn’t worth that risk.

I’m having a lot of trouble answering this for some reason. All the things I obsessed over, I never stopped. I just adapted to whatever it took to keep them.

Smoking. I quit cold turkey when I was 36 years old. Even ten years later, when I saw a package of cigarettes someone had just left lying on top of a pay phone, I said to myself, "No one would ever know!"

But I also knew myself...and I knew that if I smoked even ONE cigarette I would go right back to chain smoking 3 packs a day.
