Been reading some threads here and there about mental hospitals and the nurses perspective

And I understand, nurses put up with A LOT of BS in general, let alone psych wards.

But what I don't understand is I seen comments from someone proclaiming to be a psych nurse and she said she knows people are afraid and confused but that doesn't give them an excuse to be rude pricks...

But if someone is delusional and they think you're the devil trying to take over their mind, or something like that,

I don't think they going to be nice to you,
They're gonna be terrified, defensive and paranoid
You're right... you can't convince someone who is fearing for their lives that you're there to help them. They don't have rational thinking at that stage.

Kind of like if your house is on fire, you probably have a mental list of things that you think you'd take with you... but, when the time comes, you often leave empty handed aside from people and pets because things can be replaced.

It would be challenging, the patient is confused and trying to get them to relax and focus.
Sometimes nurses need to vent too.
Sometimes the stress builds up and they need to let off steam like everyone else.

They prolly say shit here they wouldn never say or even consider in rl, just to destress.

I could imagine it would be a very difficult job🤷‍♀
