Like fr though do anti depressions actually do anything

Because like fr fr I feel like I'm worse on them like I'm more depressed. Is that the point ain't depressions make you more depressed to get more anti depressions and it's just a mad scam for the companies to make more money off our suffering?

It took me years to find the right combo for me and all the ones I have been on always made mine worse to start with it depending on what u take alot of them take 3weeks or more to get into your system an start to work ..

it so depends on your personality. For me, yes. I hate being on meds, tried limiting them, added vitamins and a good diet, but I needed to add meds back again. I don't feel like they do anything...and then I notice small things. Like I call out of work less. My fingers are finally healing from picking. Stuff like that. If reg meds like SSRI's don't do it for you...try SNRI's like effexor. Plus a sleep med. Also talk therapy. That one was the hardest for me to schedule. I haven't even had it yet....it's next week. But I think med plus therapy combos are needed for most people....
I take anti depressants for pain. Im very sensitive to medications so the dosage is really low. They take the edge off my depression so that I can function but they dont fix any of it. They help change my perspective and I dont fall into that dark pit of despair that leaves me unable to function, but I'm not happy. They only make me not want to die all the time, but really, it is always on the table. The right situation comes along and im pretty cool with death. But I dont actively concern myself with it.

There made be need to increase the dose of the medication you're on or switch you to something else. Most doctors start you at a low dose to see how you will tolerate it and go from there. Also if you are taking other meds with it like something to combat anxiety that can cause you to feel down while using an anti-depressant.
You need to talk to your prescriber. Could be wrong dosage. Could be wrong anti-depressant. There’s often a lot of trial and error involved.

But in general when paired with the correct diagnosis, anti-depressants can save lives. Especially when therapy is added to the mix.

when I dont take mine I'm cranky and everything ticks me off.

but there are many types out there - if you're aren't working you need to communicate with your provider and maybe they can make a switch.

good luck!
It’s personally helped me a lot, I’m on a low dose of Wellbutrin and Prozac. Maybe you need a different med or dosage.

I don't believe in medicines as far as depression is concerned. I hope this will help you.

@madzie shush not the point 🤣
depressants wake the voices up..
They do and they dont .

Some people have to spend months , even years trying to find the right one ....some never do.

Also , i have a personal feeling tjat doctors get mixed up between anxiety and hiw it makes each person feel , and depression, and how that makes different people feel .

How is it making you worse?
