I'm very sorry to hear about your tragic loss. Sometimes I don't think anyone can say anything that will make it better. But consider that you are not alone. Many have gone through similar experiences. The wife in a couple I have known for over 50 years passed away last fall. Almost a year ago. Her husband is adapting but it takes time. You will get there and it will get easier and better. My only suggestion would be to avoid staying alone a lot. Perhaps get out an volunteer and maybe help others less fortunate.
