Nothing like actually thinking your house was broken into

Last night I must’ve had a really vivid dream because I swore there was someone in my house around 3-4am. My daughter was in her room, I grabbed a weapon and slowly walked out of my room totally expecting to see someone and never did it. The nerves and adrenaline were crazy, took me a while to fall back asleep

That’s very scary. If it was a dream, they can be so realistic that they affect your emotions like they would as if it was reality. I’ve woken up sobbing my heart out, and even laughing because of dreams. I’m glad you were safe.

@Carissimi it’s a wild feeling isn’t it?!

@minnygirl It is, and depending on the intensity of emotion, it can take awhile to get over it. Like when you dream your husband is unfaithful, and you are so mad at him for a few hours, even though you know it was just a dream. It’s like it’s so real. The dream ends when you wake up, but the emotion it evokes can take longer to dissipate.

@Carissimi Yes! That is such a great way of putting it!

@minnygirl I think your dream can be educational, in that you can think deeply about your best strategy if it happens in reality. Being armed is very wise. I wish I was, but although I believe in the 2nd Amendment, I wasn’t brought up to be comfortable around firearms, being English.

@Carissimi I understand, it’s not for every one and that is ok. It is about comfort and education when it comes to gun ownership, in my opinion at least
