@JimboSaturn Either it is Gods word or it is not! I believe every word in the Bible. Most people are just wrong. Science catches up to God's word all the time which proves it is Gods word. The earth can not [i]possibly [/i] be old, just impossible when changes happen quickly. not millions of years. It is pure fiction. The earth looks old but it is not! You can believe fiction, I believe The Bible. I Know it is Gods word! I am not smarter than God, you are not smarter than God, no one is smarter than God!

@Carazaa All evidence points to a very old earth and universe. You just ignore it. You can be a proper Christian and believe the creation stories in the Bible are allegory. In fact most Christians do. It's the spirit behind the storied, the deeper spiritual meaning is what is important. The Bible is not a science textbook but a spiritual one.

@JimboSaturn The Bible can absolutely be taken literally. Science just recently discovered that fasting has total benefits. God told us to fast thousands of years ago!

We also know now that disease are from germs not from god, the earth revolves around the sun, gravity, etc..
Every shred of evidence points to an old earth. Last week I observed a galaxy that was 15 million light years away. That means that it took the light 15 million years to reach the earth. How is this possible? How about radioactivity? How about how the knowledge of sub atomic particles make this very medium in which we are conversing now possible?
In fact most of the discoveries pointing to an old earth are from clergy. Geology, and biology. Because at the time the church was educated.
Now a minority of Christians like yourself have gone backwards into medieval beliefs. Sad, so more more to appreciate.
