I produced a project once based on some Bukowski short stories. First time it had been done so I had to get the OK from his wife. My producing partner and I went to her house where she lived with him and spent about four hours talking and hearing stories. She was a trip. He was a trip. Marched to their own drummer. That's for sure.

@Ynotisay Wow, what an experience. I would feel as if I were on sacred ground, if I had an opportunity to kick it with Bukowski. I love that curmudgeon. Thank you for sharing that.

@cinsac Right on. And yeah. It was pretty wild. I was pretty up to speed on his work but wasn't a rabid fan. But my producing partner was. For him it was what you described. Sacred ground. He lost his shit. :)
