@beermeplease Thank you :) I actually used to make them that way with my late ex fiancee and her family, she was half Italian, her older son was 3/4 Italian as his father was full, while her younger son was 1/4 Italian and 3/4 Spanish.

@NativePortlander1970 that's awesome...i love hearing about our ethnic backgrounds especially of us here in north america north of mexico...we are so culturally diverse. my first name is irish and my parents first language wasn't even english...lol
@beermeplease Diversity is what makes North America, I just wish others honored that themselves.

@NativePortlander1970 i agree. and not just us who were born here who have lived all our lives here but those who have emigrated here. i work and have worked and known with many new commers to canada. what i have found is most embrace our culture and take it in, but there's a few who take advantage and don't give a shit and hold their hands out.."gimme. gimme" it was a much different story when we were kids, and our fore fathers were kids... i think you know what i mean
@beermeplease My cousin's ex wife and her immediate family are all Mexican, full blood, and immigrated to the Yakima, Washington, area, legally, they are front line and center protesting against undocumented migrants working the apple and cherry orchards and Hops farms.

@NativePortlander1970 do they wish they should send undocumented workers back to mexico (assuming the migrants are from mexico) it's a messed up situation all around.
@beermeplease They do, yes, unemployment is high among the legal Immigrant communities, my cousin's ex wife told me repeatedly that the undocumented takes jobs away from them.

@NativePortlander1970 there's so much involved...do we revoke business licenses to those who employ these illegals? i'm sure it would be easy to spot them out. do we give jail time to these business owners? do we immediately deport the illegals? i wish i knew the magical answer but i just don't....maybe canada, the united states and mexico should just be one country...maple syrup, apple pie and tacos unite
@beermeplease Actually yes, there are laws on the books that are prosecutable, and in the past they were, however now that the coastal west has now gone full blue, they no longer pursue it, you know, lost votes.
