On the subject of warnings apparently that’s what 9/11 was too. Warnings came from Berlin and London 6 and then 2 hours before the first plane hit. The warnings were ignored by the US military.

@AlchemyFox DOD had prior experience with these balloons. On three different occasions during the Trump admin, Chinese surveillance balloons floated over the US, however they were not publicized. I don't think they were shot down either.
