Today we lost Börje

Today our beloved hockey legend Börje Salming passed away, at the age of 71.
He got diagnosed with ALS in August of this year and today it tog him away 😞

You will be missed 💐

I'm not as much of an ice hockey fan as my father is, but I do know from having watched an old sports blooper video on VHS, that in one game, Salming, got a puck lodged in his skate.

He was a great defenseman. I saw the ceremony in Toronto honoring him with Sittler, Sundin and MacDonald recently....very emotional. He started it all for the Swedes in the NHL. RIP Borje
