That's just an international thing.
You need to say "aboot" for "about", end sentences with "Eh?", talk about hockey and how much you love it and other cold weather activities, mention "Boxing day", refer to "First Peoples", talk about Anne Murray, Gordon Lightfoot, and Rush, engage in debates about the two Margarets, complain about your MP...
AND do all of this in French, after doing it in English.
