Is it bad to be a "fence sitter"?

When you refuse to absolutely pick a side.

Or the way I see it, trying to see multiple perspectives from either side of an argument.

I would think it's a good quality but I think also it pisses some people off

Im not sure.. but I'm guessing its better to be undecided than on the wrong side but it could also be translated as indifferent or uncaring
