Is it bad to be a "fence sitter"?

In an issue

When you refuse to absolutely pick a side.

Or the way I see it, trying to see multiple perspectives from either side of an argument.

I would think it's a good quality but I think also it pisses some people off

It would all depend on the issue. I mean, I'd probably not be thrilled with someone who sat on the fence re the morality of killing innocent children.

@ChipmunkErnie thats true. The issue is a heavy factor. Killing children will definitely push me off that fence, towards helping them... of course!
