Lots of lacewings out tonight

I didn’t take the picture there. That’s from an image search. I wanted reference to what I was talking about. I try taking pictures of lacewings, but they’re never clear. I have the most trouble with bright green creatures like that. Grasshoppers, mantids, and frogs as well. Such a bummer. They’re beautiful. When I was a kid, I thought these bugs were fairies. They looked so magical to me. Now when I see them, knowing what they are, I still feel charmed because they remind me of those days.

Lacewings are awesome, and they’re great for your garden. Have you ever seen their eggs?

@QueenOfTheNerds Their larvae are intimidating. It’s hard to associate those spiky beasts with how delicate they start as and end up.
