Is there a word in the English language that bothers you?

Which word is it? I didn’t realise how many people hate the word “moist.” Now I’m a bit curious what other words people dislike.

Inflammable

Sometimes it means "not flammable" and sometimes it means "easily inflamed." A dangerous word - avoid it!

@ElwoodBlues I’ve never heard inflammable used to say something is not flammable (though in my head that would make sense). It’s annoying that flammable and inflammable mean the same thing. 🙄

@ElwoodBlues quite true, as while coining words they forget other words that could clash and cause a confusion.

English has many such inconsistencies.

Inflammable inflammation eyc. come from inflame .. while flame exists as another word.

Should it have been imflame like implosion ?
