I know it's not for everyone.

I'd say that looks slightly overcooked if anything. The yolk should be all liquid in my opinion.
@ninalanyon Geez, do you just crack the egg onto a plate ? 馃槼
ninalanyon61-69, T
@bijouxbroussard No, I just try to get the temperature of the fat right and splash fat on the top so that the white is cooked and the yolk still runny.

@ninalanyon Interesting. They need to be pasteurized at that point, though 馃槄
ninalanyon61-69, T
@SW-User Not here they don't.
SW-User
@ninalanyon Same, but you can pasteurize them yourself easily at home. Just have to be accurate with the temperature.
ninalanyon61-69, T
@SW-User But why would you need to? I mean I understand why it is necessary in the US but here in Norway I don't even refrigerate eggs.
RubySoo56-60, F
@ninalanyon we dontrefrigerate them in the UK either.
ninalanyon61-69, T
@RubySoo I know, that's where I come from :-)
RubySoo56-60, F
@ninalanyon 馃檪...but youre in Norway...right?
ninalanyon61-69, T
@RubySoo I am now but I spent the first half of my life in the UK. And of course I visit family often, well I used to until COVID came along.

@RubySoo @ninalanyon You don't refrigerate eggs?? 馃く
ninalanyon61-69, T
@sarabee1995 Of course not! We don't need to because they have not been washed.
sarabee199526-30, F
@ninalanyon What does that mean? Why do we need to?
ninalanyon61-69, T
@sarabee1995 Because in the US egg producers wash the eggs and that removes a protective layer that means that they will go bad if not refrigerated.
