Portland is such a filthy city
I'm from Chicago. I miss it because Portland is so gross. Homeless and drugs. Everywhere outside of the city is beautiful, but actually living inside is intolerable. I'm gonna have to move out to the suburbs

get out of the core, you will be fine. The Riots have been a disaster
St Johns can be nice.
skip hillsboro if you can and Gresham
foster road about 70th or so was okay
haven't lived there for some time, but back often.
enjoy the largest intra -city park over 200 miles of trails
90 minutes from the BEACH and THE snow
homelessness is big there because it is also kind to the homeless. so there are LOTS of them and being homeless makes you crazy.
transit can be pretty good tho.
