when i need a good laugh

MasterLee · 56-60, M
No I never could listen to the American communist radio
Lostpoet · M
@MasterLee They sometimes talk about good books and actors though.
PatKirby · M
I stopped listening years ago when their function as a liberal mouthpiece became glaringly obvious. Similar to 'Democracy Now' it's become an echo-chamber for the extreme left. I've removed it from my news feed, along with the Communist News Network, MSLSD, PureBS, and TheYoungTurds. NPR = Not Publicly Reliable.
Lostpoet · M
I actually do still listen to NPR and BBC. I still consider myself right of center.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Lostpoet I only have a small beef with BBC but any political news from NPR is certainly twisted with omission and deceit. In other words LIES.
Lostpoet · M
@Gibbon NPR is produced by college kids I just keep that in mind while I'm listening. There is a lot I disagree with to, but I just don't take everything as factual and most things on there are opinion based.

After the Bush administration I stopped watching Fox News because I think they are biased, but they are professionals making millions of dollars a season. Not college kids.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Lostpoet I know NPR all to well. A friend of mine years ago was a studio maintenance technician servicing the recorders and sound systems. That place is definitely not all college kids. The management is heavily based and there's no room for any conservative views in their employees

Before the pandemic there was a entertaining variety show on Saturday's I had on while I made dinner called "Live from Here" but that never came back. Another good show, usually on Sunday is Wait wait don't tell me...and I like the business reports by Kai Ryssdal...
wasnt that defunded?

oh wait. a local Obama judge ruled a nation wide injunction.

a guy who received no national votes. is running the country from a little district in one state..
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout yes actually an a hole judge came to bat for them the propaganda must continue is the rule of law

Tiny Desk Concerts
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Punxi Had to look that up. It's a music show so unless the individual performers used it to make some political agenda known by their own choice you are forgiven.
No...just more liberal propaganda
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@BizSuitStacy as confirmed in the chat conclusion
