A quote from Benjamin Franklin

"Freedom of speech is a principal pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved, and tyranny is erected on its ruins."

Relevant then, and even more relevant today, especially online where on certain sites, we are censored by tyrants. They say you can say this, but you can't say that, who are they to say?

Owners of private property that you are making use of. If you invite me to a BBQ and I start talking trying to convince your other guests that we should throw anyone who eats a hamburger in jail in order to protect the sanctity of hot dogs then you have every right to ask me to leave.

I can't just declare free speech and remain on your property after you have deemed my behavior is inappropriate.

Now if I went to the public park which is owned by government, and therefore by extension to the public, I cannot be removed simply because of my hamburger rant.

The freedom of speech blocks the government from creating laws that restrict it. It does not mean you are free from consequences or subject to rules set out by private property owners while you are on their property.
