You will never be criticized by someone who is doing more than you. You will only be criticized by someone doing less.

Net entirely true, negative criticism may come from people less able but a more productive person (a professional one) will provide constructive feedback.

Context is important here.

People who are doing the work are always critical of those who aren't.
