I’d just take the time off. Would suck to not get PTO for an emergency; but at that point is when I start to just do whatever I feel like on the job. And I would look for another job in the meantime, but if I show up again at that place to work once I got better, doubt they’d complain. 🤷🏻♀

As I work in a smaller hospital the chances of that are very unlikely
