It's easier to produce carbon monoxide by leaving the car running in the garage all night, than to sit up all night breathing to create carbon dioxide.

@swirlie it is good you said in a garage. the release of CO from a running ICE when there is sufficient air is essentially zero.

That is correct. That is why I always leave the garage door closed when I'm producing carbon monoxide for personal use.

I guess if you have an electric car, then you'd have to go out and rent a gas lawnmower as a substitute I suppose...

@swirlie yes, those do produce a lot of CO, or a generator powered by gas.
