The Queen: Goodbye after Seventy Years

Monday 19th September will be a tough, emotional and sad day for many of us here in Britain as we say goodbye to the only Head of State most of us have ever known.

She's the only monarch most of us Canadians have lived under, as well.
I empathize with your feelings.

Why that day? She died last week. And consider the positive, that she lived to be 96.

@AdaXI I would argue that you all take it much too seriously with such drawn-out proceedings over a dead body. Guess it's a Christian thing.

@RedBaron It's a British thing actually.
LOLZ!

@AdaXI Cool. For me, Monty Python is the perfect representation.
Well at least she had a long life and a long reign as Queen. Take solace in that.

the queens remains were moved from Buckingham Palace to the Palace of Westminster today, and someone told me: the royal family had their last day to privately grieve Queen Elizabeth and now they're giving her back to the people. and i have to tell you that's the saddest thing i've heard in a long time and really made me pause and think about what this day meant to her children and grandchildren and how she's gone forever.
