@LordShadowfire True however if this war escalates to the point where US sends troops and attacks Russia then the US will have started WWIII.

@LordShadowfire If NATO or U.S forces attack Russia, they are starting a war with Russia.
Russia's military presence in Ukraine is irrelevant.
Moreover, it's not really a question of who starts a war, but who escalates it. The U.S and U.K have made consistent and effective efforts to prolong this conflict, by providing vast financial support and military assistance to Ukraine.
If you don't think they blew up Nord Stream pipeline, you are very naive. This alone would be enough to provoke a military response from other countries.
Attempting to significantly weaken Russia with sanctions is also dangerous, as well as being a very unhelpful strategy. If they were sensible, they would realize that punishing a country by trying to cripple its economy only isolates that country further, and causes people to oppose them more.

I disagree. I'd say they would be joining in the war that Russia has started with Ukraine. Russia's military presence in Ukraine is irrelevant. Like Germany's presence in Poland?

Yes, if we had only not attacked Germany, World War II wouldn't have happened. 🙄

You're right. We should have just let them destroy Ukraine, because that's what decent people do.

Like an invasion with the intention of wiping a country off the face of the planet? That kind of military response?

@LordShadowfire all of this emotive talk means nothing to me.
Truthfully, there wouldn't have been a WW2 if Britain hadn't gone to war with Germany, a nation trying to avenge what happened to them after WW1.
You have missed my point about punishing countries, and how this is fundamentally unhelpful.
@GJOFJ3 If Russia wants war,NATO will give it a war.Russia needs to know it is beaten,it is a busted flush,no-one fears it anymore. Its army is pathetic.
@SW-User Its just as well Britain did then isnt?Instead of most peoples idea on here of acheiving world peace, simply by allowing powerful nations to take over smaller nations. Why didnt we think of that before?
