@smiler2012 There's nothing about it being an ill thought out comment. The Russians have been a pain in the ass for the world for 100 years. If they won't behave properly then get rid of them. It's biblical- Zephaniah 1:2-3. Sure, they might get off a couple of shots but make it known that if they do, they are all gone so it would be better for them to take the initial beating and not go down the road of total destruction. The problem is that Russia is twice the physical size of the US with just half of the population. The lack of large population centers actually works in its favor, unlike China, where it's possible to kill a billion people in less than 15 minutes.

@Diotrephes i would not like too be an enemy of yours if that is the answer too everything .eradicate everyone who you consider a pain in the arse . you could adopt that attitude towards china north korea not really a really rational answer to the problem is it

@smiler2012 Sure it is. Imagine if America had destroyed Russia after WWII. We would have saved $Trillions in defense spending and avoided numerous other wars. So, if we get in a major fight again the program should consist of blasting everyone who might even be a future potential enemy. Then we can live in peace and harmony.
