US said it would sell weapons to Taiwan to defend from China but they're going to have to wait until 2026. 😂😂

2025 is the deadline. Where else is Taiwan going to get the weapons? Every other nation is sold out to support Zelensky's war.

Zelensky’s war?

Are you serious?
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@newjaninev2 time to go camp in his front yard and start complaining about his squatting.
@newjaninev2 He and his Nazi government kept flirting with NATO.
@CactusJackMansonDid NATO really think Putin was going to allow the US-led NATO to set up camp in Russia's backyard? Come on, that was inevitable. I just hope there's a diplomatic way to resolve the war.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@CactusJackManson as is the right of any sovereign democracy. Neighbouring gangster states don’t get to make decisions for other countries… as the Russian fascists are now learning
@newjaninev2 Ukraine is not a democracy. Zelensky has banned opposition parties and media. He did that before the war. Try to keep up.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@CactusJackManson So Zelensky seized power by staging false-flag terrorist actions and then destroyed all opposition parties, murdered journalists, murdered dissenters at home and abroad, rigged elections for many years, passed draconian laws suppressing dissent and protest, and made himself fabulously wealthy while watching the general population struggle every day?

is that what the autocrat putin is telling you?

@RocktheHouse
diplomatic way to resolve the war
Yes, the Ukrainians could always try to kill russia’s children in a diplomatic manner, I suppose... and keep doing it until the last russian barbarian leaves Ukraine.

Of course (as the war criminal putin is just starting to realise) borders work both ways 👍
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@RocktheHouse the diplomatic way to end the war is for Russia to perform a complete and unconditional withdrawal from Ukrainian territory and to pay war reparations for damage caused.

Anything less sets a terrible global example. The possibility of NATO setting up in the Ukraine is not excuse to invade. If anything, it just shows that Russia cannot be trusted as a global actor and that NATO is as important as ever to nations upon Russia's borders.
walabby · 61-69, M
@RocktheHouse Russia's actions over the last two months prove that Ukraine SHOULD have already joined NATO, as the Baltic republics and other East European countries have.
@walabby it proves NATO should have been dissolved when the Soviet Union collapsed. Russia has ever right to defend itself against Western aggression, including expansion of NATO which is clearly a force to maintain Western hegemony. NATO and these types of military alliances needs to stop. Why does NATO need to exist? To maintain global order. I thought that was what we had the UN for. All nations agreeing to set terms that will ensure peace.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@RocktheHouse if you find a defensive military pact to be an act of aggression, it speaks rather terribly of your intentions.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@RocktheHouse
clearly a force to maintain Western hegemony
It’s a force to defend Western democracy... and it’s obviously working 😂

@newjaninev2 Who invaded the West? The Ottoman empire? Hitler? Muslims? Lol . Are you trying to gaslight ? It's NATO that has invaded other countries. Come on, you really believe the BS you're saying? To defend Western democracy... Against who? Every nation should have sovereign right to decide their own system of government. The US led NATO wants to expand Western democracy and western ideology and it's obviously NOT working.
@ViciDraco And what would be the US's reaction if China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and Brazil formed their own military pact and tried to expand so they could install air defense systems in our backyards? We would respond promptly. Remember the Cuban missile crisis?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@RocktheHouse
NATO that has invaded other countries
NATO is a purely defensive organisation
Every nation should have sovereign right to decide their own system of government
In the way that the russian gangster state has invaded the sovereign democracy of Ukraine and tried to impose autocratic fascism? Is that what you mean?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@RocktheHouse The same tired tu quoque argument... a.k.a. whataboutism

Designed to avoid addressing the current topic and the current situation.
@newjaninev2 Purely defensive? Iraq didn't invade the West. Kuwait, Libya didn't - that was purely out of fear that Qaddafi would weaken the Pedro dollar . Somalia, Syria didn't... NATO is in the business of invading sovereign countries.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@RocktheHouse It appears you’re conflating NATO and individual western democracies

Your instructors need to do a better job briefing you 😂

ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@RocktheHouse all of NATO did not invade those countries. The US and some allies that were also part of NATO did. NATO is defensive.

The US was wrong to invade Iraq. It was wrong to invade Afghanistan. The US has wrongfully invaded a lot of places. I'll admit that. I do not think it is right to say it's wrong when they do it but not when we do it. But nor does the fact that we have done something wrong excuse other nations of their own wrongdoing.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@ViciDraco it’s also worth noting there are differences between invading, occupying, and exterminating
