Canada had a Female Prime Minister, (Kim Campbell) England had a Female Prime Minister, (Margaret Thatcher) The Philippines had a Female President, (Corazon "Cory" Aquino)
If only the United States could have a Female President, then I could die a happy man.
Alas, it is not in the cards. :( :( :(

@JimboSaturn The same thing happened when Nixon resigned back in '72.
Ford succeeded him without an election.

@Sidewinder WRONG. There was a primary election for the 1976 election and Ford had to run against other candidates. Ronald Reagan was one of them.

@Sidewinder The United Kingdom also had two other female Prime Ministers, neither a very good precedent.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@MartinII I was aware only of the one.

@Sidewinder Three in total, though one lasted only 44 days
