Why can't we ever have a female president when other states have female governors, female mayors, and female senators?

The simple answer, misogyny.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte That doesn’t even make sense… The US has plenty of women in power, as the OP alluded to herself.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@Ducky how many men do you think abstained from voting because "I'm not voting for a woman to be president"? I'm not saying everyone is misogynistic or that those who are act that way all the time. Feminism has made great strides towards equality in all things, but there are still strides to be made.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte Not enough to make it a landslide election, obviously.

@Dolimyte brings up a side thought. Where has the feminist movement gone? It seems to have been destroyed by transgenderism. Allowing biological men in women's sports?
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@Ducky are you saying yesterday was a landslide?
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte I’m saying if it was a landslide, you might have a point.

@Ducky It was very close to a landslide....
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte I was trying to reason with you and show you why there's no logic to your comment. But clearly, you're really not interested in being reasoned with, lol.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@Ducky l gave a simple answer to what is in reality a complex question. Misogyny is in my opinion a large factor in why many voted against the woman candidate or abstained from voting all together. We wiil never know for sure just how impactful that mentality really was.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte Well, I think we do. Because if it truly had any real impact, we wouldn't have any women in power, let alone two female presidential candidates, and over 66 million people wouldn't have voted for a woman to be president. By all rights, it's completely illogical to believe misogyny played any significant role in why Kamala Harris lost the election. You'll believe what you will, of course. This is all just for the record at this point.

@Dolimyte Gosh, the way you talk to ladies is horrible, typical Democrat with no manners.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
You keep saying that I'm being illogical. I don't see how. Am I employing a specific fallacy.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte Then disregard everything I’ve said. Again, it’s just for the record now.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@Aysel
typical Democrat with no manners
that label does not apply to me and what specifically was rude?

@Aysel Yes that was rude, but it also wasn't directed at @Ducky.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@Dolimyte I don't believe that at all.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@nudistsueaz scroll up and read that rude message again. Pay close attention to who it was addressed to and what their proceeding non sequitur of a comment was.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte I'll give you that. I misread it as being addressed to me.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@Ducky Ah, that explains the shift in tone. No worries. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.😊
@Dolimyte This is why
