Can someone explain the reverence conservatives have for Elon Musk?

They claim to hate "big tech," but Musk invented PayPal.

They hate electric vehicles, but Musk made his fortune selling them.

The guy makes a few comments that suggest he doesn't believe in content moderation, so when he says he's buying Twitter, conservatives go gaga.

I sincerely hope Musk buys Twitter, runs it into the ground, and loses his fortune trying unsuccessfully to keep it afloat. That would be hilarious.

Well, from the amount of discrimination lawsuits, including by the State of California, for the working conditions at his Tesla assembly plants, we can guess what side of the apartheid issue in South Africa he was on before immigrating. Whoops! He couldn't be an immigrant because he isn't a murdering rapist with dark skin for whom English is a second language. And he has the proper ego, bloviates enough, and has a better success rate than he whom we shall not name -- even if his hair isn't orange.
