Orban has systematically dismantled the country’s legal system and changed the election system to ensure future election victories. It is becoming harder and increasing harder to criticise the government’s actions due to restrictions by the government on the freedoms for media and civil society. It is not surprising that Fidesz (Orban's party) won two-thirds of the seats in parliament 2014 and 2018, despite receiving less than 50 per cent of the votes in the 2014 and 2018 parliamentary elections.

The same way Benito Mussolini started the first fascist movement that would spread to other countries, influencing movements like Nazism and Kokkashugi, Viktor Orban started the current fascist movement which led to MAGA. Orban suppressed freedom of speech through the economic bullying and consolidation of media, which is exactly what Putin and Trump did in their countries. Orban's Fascism has always been the blueprint. That's why his defeat is such a good sign.

Nigel ("Little Donald") Farage has expressed support for Orban's anti-EU policies (although he was still happy to accept billions of euros in subsidy), anti-immigration policies, alleged anti-establishment policies, and general cultural conservatism. Orban did nothing but blame other people for his shortcomings and siphon public money for private gain. Unless you happen to be on the same gravy train, there is nothing positive to recommend.

Are you contesting my observation that Orban’s primary appeal to MAGA is that he has made Hungary whiter and more traditionalist Christian? If so, perhaps you can explain to me why Hungary is so great under Orban’s leadership and why we should adopt his policies in the US…
