@plungesponge It was open to all bona-fide shipping even though through the territorial waters of both Iran and Oman, until the USA's President decided to attack Iran.

Trump must surely have been advised of the likely consequences of his war. Or did he wrong-foot even his advistors by issuing the order without consulting anyone?

While his use of that phrase on TV shows only just how inept and immature he can be. No genuine statesman, whether politician or diplomat, would use such threats and gutter language.

He seems to have a very low opinion of much of the rest of the world. I'm wondering if he even has much respect for his own nation.
