No one should think that this "realization" will remain in his mind for more than a matter of hours. He's a sick, incompetent, and corrupt pretender in his last days - But at home his pretense is propped up by an extremist political cult desperate to hold on to power, and a billionaire class out to enlarge their own wealth and privilege.
Europeans and other democracies see the rot and weakness for what it really is, and are refusing to keep playing the game.
The American people are waking up to the same facts, and we need to start rebuilding our system in the same way.
