Do you think the podcasters are right about Trump showing signs of dementia?

Dementia is an umbrella term for a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere with daily life, affecting memory, thinking, language, judgment, and behavior, caused by various diseases damaging brain cells.

It's not a specific illness but a syndrome with many types, like Alzheimer's (most common) or vascular dementia, characterized by progressive cognitive and functional impairment, including memory loss, confusion, personality changes, and difficulties with daily tasks.

Key Characteristics
Cognitive Decline: Impairment in memory, thinking speed, language, problem-solving, or understanding.

Functional Impact: Difficulties performing everyday activities like eating, dressing, or managing finances.

Behavioral Changes: Mood swings, anxiety, depression, agitation, or personality shifts.

Progressive Nature: Symptoms worsen over time as more brain cells die.

Common Types & Causes
Alzheimer's Disease: Most frequent cause, involving abnormal protein buildup.

Vascular Dementia: Due to reduced blood flow to the brain, often after strokes, causing sudden or gradual decline.

Lewy Body Dementia: Associated with protein deposits (Lewy bodies) in the brain.

Mixed Dementia: A combination of two or more types, often Alzheimer's and vascular.

Key Takeaway
Dementia isn't normal aging; it's a serious condition where the brain stops working properly, requiring support for memory, thinking, and daily living.

LOL, the folks who could not detect dementia in biden are suddenly experts on mental health. Amusing

@MommySon out of context commentary about someone else’s commentary on an Australian network? Surely you can do better, Lisa.

Remember, my comment was “who said they didn’t say the same about Biden?”

Clearly they did:

So go ahead and create another screen name, Lisa, but we know who you are.

@SumKindaMunster i am asking where *cnn* claimed this, not an out of context cut-and-paste job of people interviewed by CNN (I don’t even know if these were CNN interviews, or the context behind them because the video you posted is not objective. Surely there is a video, a memo, or something from CNN itself that claims Biden’s decline was a “right wing conspiracy”, right?

I don’t watch CNN, but I do know many people on the left, and every single one was concerned about Biden’s mental fitness in 2000, just as they are now about Trump’s.

It's a "supercut" of all sorts of political pundits and news people defending Biden's obvious ailments.

I don’t watch CNN, but I do know many people on the left, and every single one was concerned about Biden’s mental fitness in 2000, just as they are now about Trump’s.

2020 is when we started getting concerned about Biden. However, CNN and other MSM pundits make a big showing of defending Biden..that's how "sharp as a tack" became a thing. Jake Trapper was the worst, he attacked a person for mocking Biden's "stutter" when of course, nobody thought he was stuttering...we all know what dementia looks like in an elderly person, the MSM covered for Biden.
trollslayer · 51-55, M
@SumKindaMunster i don’t disagree that pundits and news people did this. I’m disagreeing with the idea that CNN, specifically, claimed this to be a right wing conspiracy. Go back to Sunsporter’s original claim. If they covered up Biden’s dementia, then clearly they “detected” it. His second claim (the double posted cartoon) says that CNN was covering this up (clearly they were not, as a whole, and I posted a video to prove that). The reality that we both know is that both men show symptoms of serious mental decline.
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@trollslayer Hm, I don't have a video, but I am pretty sure CNN boosted Biden's Press Secretary when she claimed the videos of Biden's cognitive decline were "cheap fakes". Some of CNN's pundits showed "concern" others defended him including Jake Trapper and Brian Stelter. If your anchor and one of your top reporters are defending Biden, then it's reasonable to say CNN is defending Biden.

The reality that we both know is that both men show symptoms of serious mental decline.

I don't agree. My take is that the MSM is doing their usual MSM schtick, which is "misdirection"

Instead of addressing Biden's cognitive issues, they pivoted to Trump and spun it so that natural aging is the same as being afflicted with a cognitive disease.
trollslayer · 51-55, M
@SumKindaMunster my comment isn’t about what the “MSM” is or isn’t doing. It’s about what we all can see with our own eyes and ears and thinking for ourselves. Doesn’t matter whose video you see of Trump’s speeches or social media posts because we can see those directly, unedited.

And why should the media focus on Biden’s issues? He hasn’t been president for a year, and will never hold office again.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@trollslayer Which makes anything you left-wing nut-job marxists platform invalid
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@trollslayer 2 reasons to bring up the Biden dementia.

1. It directly relates to the fiction that Trump has the same issue. He does not, but the MSM has conflated both in an effort to distract from Biden's issues and make Trump appear the same.

2. We just witnessed a conspiracy amongst our media to overlook and pretend that Biden was NOT afflicted with dementia. It calls into question anything the media now says on this subject, as they were caught lying and then made up a bunch of distractions and silly semantic games when confronted about it.

@SumKindaMunster “MSM” has not made anything up about Trump. The traction about his health comes directly from his own words and posts. No media involved.

As for covering up for Biden - I think that was more a push from the WH and the DNC and the media didn’t bother to “dig deeper” until the debate. I don’t see this as a “conspiracy” but more slippery politics where concerns are buried or minimized in order to win an election. A true conspiracy would involve illegal acts, such as destroying or falsifying records. So far I have not heard where that was done. Even still, with all the info sources out there these days, most people I knew on the left thought that was all crap. We could all see with our own eyes and ears that Biden was acting like a Grandpa that needed his keys taken away.

Nonsense. The MSM purposefully promotes things he says that are controversial, and downplays the things he says that are sensible. They cut and paste bits of video together, or just highlight a certain phrase or comment, and make it seem like that's all he said.

As for covering up for Biden - I think that was more a push from the WH and the DNC and the media didn’t bother to “dig deeper” until the debate. Hm, my opinion is that a "conspiracy" is a spoken or unspoken agreement amongst like minded individuals to band together and promote something that is beneficial to all of them. There is no need to "destroy records, or falsify data". Suffice to say, people in the know, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Jill Biden, Hunter Biden, other WH staff members all knew what was going on with Biden and chose to cover it up, until they couldn't any longer. The press went along for access and because they hate Trump. They fucked up. They waited too long and then we got to see how bad it was...Biden couldn't even talk in that debate, it was shocking and painful to witness.

Even still, with all the info sources out there these days, most people I knew on the left thought that was all crap. We could all see with our own eyes and ears that Biden was acting like a Grandpa that needed his keys taken away.

That's interesting. Did you act accordingly? Demand that someone do something about this? Or did you go along with the ruse until you couldn't any longer?
