@4meAndyou JFK was all behind the physical fitness program. I remember that.

@cherokeepatti And now RFK Jr. under Trump. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

Wish I was young again to experience real food :/

@cherokeepatti wasn't the case for me back in the 90's and 2000's

@FreestyleArt It got contracted when my daughter was in high school. The students saw mold in some of the food and I told my daughter not to eat in there any more.

@FreestyleArt She was eligible for reduced meals due to my income. I told her not to eat there any more. The next year during enrollment they sent home a form to fill out for reduced meals. Told her she wasn’t going to be eating there. Someone from the office told her to take home another form and I didn’t fill it out. I got called by someone and told that there weren’t enough students filing for reduced meals and that they were giving everyone who qualified for reduced meals free lunches. Told her no, she had immune system problems and the students had seen mold in the food and that she was allergic to it and would have bad diarrhea if she ate anything with mold.

@MarineBob Pretty damn sad when children are developing Type II diabetes and other health conditions caused by unhealthy eating combined with a lack of activity. That used to be very rare.

Kids don't perform very well on fitness tests when they have polio.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MoveAlong so maybe they get a medical waver.

@NativePortlander1970 I doubt they’d force a child with a medical waiver now. It’s a lawsuit climate.
@cherokeepatti When I was in security I had a coworker who was in the army in the 90's, he said they were given stress cards to show the drill instructors if they felt overwhelmed, this was under klintoon.
