No, but he brought a lot of humor into our lives.

@Lostpoet very dark humor at best. do you think that Putin, Hitler, etc., are funny?
Lostpoet · M
@samueltyler2 Not at all.. I don't think you can rightly compare Donald to the genocidal Nazi Hitler. And Putin? I don't follow American politics why would I follow Russian politics.

@Lostpoet if you don't follow current events and don't study history, you really shouldn't make any comment. You are entitled to your views, but i suggest you do your homework.
Lostpoet · M
@sree251 I wasn't comparing in fact I stated the exact opposite saying I don't think you could rightly compare. I've read a lot about both world wars, seen a lot of movies, I have books about it.

The only thing I know about Trump is what I've seen and heard on social media. Trump has to pay to keep his private life private. And even then things leak out.

I don't like the extreme right's philosophy on politics. I think America would have been better off if we elected Mit Romney as president.

Why do we have to elect anyone to run the country? First of all, none of us - and this includes every American - is capable of running the country. No one knows what it takes. This is why the US has been causing the deaths of millions of people in endless wars and raking up a humongous national debt.

@Lostpoet
For real? That's your take of humor?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@sree251 what a crazy unfounded comment.
SUPERVlXEN · F
@samueltyler2
I think he's saying let's have Biden run the country.
Lostpoet · M
@samueltyler2 What I mean when I say I don't follow politics is that I'm not interested in it. I do know about history and politics just from how I was brought up and the books I read. My opinion is of someone that thinks there's a class system in America and no matter what side of political platform you cheer from those same politicians are there to keep you in the societal level you were born into. Life and history taught me that.
Lostpoet · M
@SUPERVlXEN It's not my kind of humor.

No, but he brought a lot of humor into our lives.
Lostpoet · M
@SUPERVlXEN I don't think it's funny but he is a humorous person.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Lostpoet so sorry then to say, if you do not see what goes on, and work towards a more just society you deserve what you get.
Lostpoet · M
@SUPERVlXEN Deportation of families, racial injustice, malice, tariffs, fascism... I don't find any of those aspects of Trump funny.

@Lostpoet if he weren't so dangerous i might agree that he is a funny, but tragic, figure.
Lostpoet · M
@samueltyler2 And that was true in your era. Where a person's vote mattered, but now everything is so indoctrinated, and there is so many people just like me that think, "why even try."
Lostpoet · M
@SUPERVlXEN My take has always been against Trump. And that part of the Republican party that thinks like him.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Lostpoet because if you don't, you abrogate responsibility to those that may have evil intentions.
Lostpoet · M
@samueltyler2 I agree
SUPERVlXEN · F
@Lostpoet
I'm not sure as several of your comments have questioned where you come from. Your excuse "why even try" is just another point on this. Allowing and silently accepting is simply not showing any disagreement with the one you mentioned. Take good care, you'll need it to stay a person true to your values.
Lostpoet · M
@samueltyler2 I think abrogate is the wrong word. Do you mean I don't support the idea to hold people responsible for their evil intentions?

I do think people should be held accountable for their actions.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Lostpoet no you give your rights to a vote to someone else, your vote should be your obligation.
Lostpoet · M
@samueltyler2 I've never voted.
