I'm a bit alarmed at Trump activating California's National Guard over Newsom's authority.

I understand he's allowed to do it legally, but the pretext is murky and the consequences are dire.

Id he does this in all left leaning states, a constitutional crisis I think creeps even closer to armed conflict.

Whether someone likes trump or not, we have to know this - he is NOT messing around.

The illegals knew this type of thing would start happening, they should have left on their own terms.

@Punches the "illegals" are still human beings and have a right to due process amd basic human rights.

Undocumented immigration is a CIVIL offense, not a criminal offense. It's a misdemeanour, not a felony.

Many who have been targeted by ICE are in the US legally. They're being targeteee for being Brown and speaking Spanish.

@basilfawlty89 With these raids, how does ICE even decide where to go? Even if it based solely on Spanish speaking an skin color, wouldn't the govt want to use their limited resources do deal with the actual illegal citizens?

As far as "due process", I wonder how many other countries treat their illegal immigrants with that?
I am not saying it is good or right. I cannot imagine how stressful it would be, not being able to live a normal life because of constant threat of deportation.

All I am saying is people knew this was going to happen.
