Barely. According to exit polls, of the Americans surveyed making less than $100K a year, just over half (51%) voted for Trump.
By comparison, of Americans surveyed making more than $100K per year, just over half (51%) voted for Harris.
Granted, you can chalk this up to demographics because cost of living (and thus wages) are a lot lower in rural areas than urban areas. Still, it's not a not a very good argument to say that this election boiled down to class since they were incredibly close across all income levels

It's a fact. I laugh at some of the commentary in this thread. One guy complains about the Jan 6 issue while their compatriots are burning LA, assaulting the police and National Guard all in the name of "don't take our criminal aliens". The left has lost their minds.

@carpediem It's not a planned insurrection; it's a planned crackdown. The US will become a police state by the end of the summer, and martial law will be declared next year, which, conveniently, will allow Trump to "suspend" the midterms in 2026.

@Hopelandia Whatever kid. In your feeble mind, it's ok to riot and harm law enforcement. 🙄 That's not what I voted for. I voted for the rule of law. You can dream up whatever conspiracies you want. It means nothing to a law abiding American citizen.

The big beautiful Bill is for common people and not for riches.

@DanielsASJ Ah yes, the Big Beautiful Bill — sounds like a 1970s wrestler or a man who sells hot tubs from the back of a van in Basingstoke!
For the common people? Is that before or after it funnels tax breaks to billionaires with yachts named Liberty?

Ah yes, the billionaire who doesn’t care about money. Like a fish that’s not fussed about water. Pull the other one, it’s got a gold-plated cufflink!
Played with money all his life? So has Monopoly. At least the board game doesn’t ask you to storm the Capitol!

The only way the US middle class elected Trump was by staying at home.

They bought into the propaganda machine he controls.
