Think again
swirlie · 31-35
@Jake966
You're right Jake, it was only 6 casinos not 7.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@swirlie that’s a part of business, but I guess you don’t understand business
swirlie · 31-35
@Jake966
Actually, I own my own corporate business Jake, what would you like to know about Trump's business that you're not aware of?
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@swirlie so that makes you an expert on Trump‘s business ? The guy rebuilt a New York skyline back in the 70s and 80s and your more worried about six businesses that went bankrupt that he owns. ? So are you trying to say that doesn’t make him a good leader?
swirlie · 31-35
@Jake966
I am an expert on Donald J. Trump, period. What would you like to know about him?

Donald J. Trump did not rebuild the New York skyline back in the 70's and 80's, but his Late father Fred Trump did. Donald actually had nothing to do with the construction or the planning of any of it.

The only time that Donald got involved with business management was with the 6 casinos he built with borrowed money that all went bankrupt, of which he still owes his creditors for those outstanding loans to this very day.

Trump is not a Leader and he never has been a Leader in Trump Corp of New York. He has always been a salaried employee of Trump Corp under the direction of the Late Fred Trump.

@Jake966 isn't an expert on anything but smooching that big orange behind and jerking it to John Wayne movies.

@LordShadowfire
Oh stop, you're getting me in the mood to get up on the bar to practice my clogging again... 💃🏼
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@swirlie you need to catch up on your history Mr expert
swirlie · 31-35
@Jake966
Actually Jake, you need to go to school before you start pretending to be educated about anything much.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@swirlie been there , done that
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Jake966 It didn't really pay off... did it.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Jake966 go back again, but this time pay attention.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@Jake966 Actually, I think most business people manage to get on tolerably well without crashing and burning their enterprises and welshing on their creditors! 😅
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@SunshineGirl I honestly think it depends on the intent. There's an '80s movie starring Danny DeVito called "Other People's Money" that explains it. He plays a shady business type called Louie the Liquidator. What he does is, he buys companies that are struggling, liquidates them, and makes off with the money. But because it's Danny DeVito and it's the '80s, the writers make you root for the guy.

Point being, I think that's Trump's business model. He either starts a business venture or buys into one, the venture fails, and he liquidates it and makes off with other people's money.

And that works great if you have no morals or ethics, or if you're not trying to bankrupt the entire country.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@SunshineGirl Trump could do everything right and you would still have a problem with him so what does it matter trying to debate this with you? He will never measure up to your expectations so I try. ? You would rather have Harris who was given $1 billion to run her campaign and still ended up 20 million in debt and you think that she would be better at running the country. LOL

@LordShadowfire she can’t even run a campaign on $1 billion Trump in his campaign on 250 million . The man is human he makes mistakes everybody makes mistakes unless you claim to be perfect. Don’t be judging others by their mistakes in the past, why don’t you look at the good things that he’s done for this country so far?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Jake966 He's not making mistakes. He's looting the country for himself and his billionaire friends. He's taking your Social Security, he's taking my medicare, he's taking away the Department of Education, for God's sake! Pull your head out of his аѕѕ for five seconds and actually look at what he's doing instead of deflecting.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire why don’t you look at what he had to deal with when he entered the office ? A band on all drilling on domestic soil and in domestic waters. , people who were not even supposed to be in this country, receiving Medicare and food stamps, along with free rent all at the cost of the taxpayer , ( and I will add that some of these people were getting up to $9000 a month in benefits ) he was also dealing with executive orders that weren’t even signed by the previous president . You’re worried about him taking away your Medicare and Social Security. What do you think? The previous administration was doing with your money and your benefits? You tell me for God sake wake up ? You need to wake up and See What road America was headed down under the previous administration and the fraud and the misappropriation of funds that was going on.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Jake966
why fon’t you look at what he had to deal with when he entered the office ?
Oh, you mean like a successful economic recovery, good relations with our allies, a return to stricter laws to protect our environment? That sort of thing?
A band on all drilling on domestic soil and in domestic waters.
Drilling for what? Be honest. Oil. Petroleum. Something that we as a country should never have become dependent upon in the first place. It's toxic. It ruins the groundwater, kills wildlife, and when you burn it, it creates more greenhouse gases to contribute to global warming. The only people who are in favor of continuing to use it are either hoping to destroy the planet, or the useful іԁіоts of people who do.
...people who were not even supposed to be in this country, receiving Medicare and food stamps, along with free rent all at the cost of the taxpayer...
What, because Trump told you that was happening? That was already illegal.
he was also dealing with executive orders that weren’t even signed by the previous president .
Don't do that. Do not blame what he's doing on the previous guy. That doesn't work on me. I'm not that gullible.
You’re worried about him taking away your Medicare and Social Security.
Yes, because he actually is. Because he appointed a man who called Social Security a pyramid scheme and put him in charge of cutting waste. And because he got a bill passed that will indeed cut my Medicare. It's called the Big Beautiful Bill, and you should read about it if you learn how.
What do you think? The previous administration was doing with your money and your benefits?
They weren't taking them in order to line the pockets of their billionaire friends the way Trump is.
You tell me for God sake wake up ?
You're goddamn right I am! Wake up. Get woke.
You need to wake up and See What road America was headed down under the previous administration and the fraud and the misappropriation of funds that was going on.
Oh, yes! All this famous misappropriation for which you people have provided zero evidence. None. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire you are blinded by the fake news so no need to debate this with you and have you resort to calling names and getting nasty with me like you libs do LOL bye !

@Jake966 I am not American and have no particular ideological position. However I am interested in economics and financial literacy which is why I spend quite a lot of time responding to posts about Trump 💰
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@LordShadowfire In the 19th century being unable to pay your debts was a criminal offence that would land you in jail. I'm not suggesting that we return to those days, but bankruptcy impacts negatively on many peoples livelihoods and should always be regarded as a last resort. Just because Trump has portrayed his bankruptices as rational and reasonable business strategies does not change that fact 🤷‍♀
