Trump targets "anti-American" ideology at Smithsonian museums

President Trump has signed an executive order targetting the Smithsonian Institution, which operates more than 20 museums and research centres in Washington DC and New York City visited annually by millions of Americans.

The order directs the VP to eliminate "improper, divisive, and anti-American ideology" from the Institution's museums, centres, and the National Zoo in Washington.

To celebrate this latest act of genius from the world's leading cultural authority, let us all post examples of "pro-American" art and culture 🇺🇸

He targeted funding. They can still put their commie anti American stuff up pictures of Trotsky or Pol Pot pissing on our flag or what ever they like. We're just not going to pay for it. That's a big difference.

You don't really believe that do you?

@tenente Honestly he probably does 🙃

@tenente Just watch them do it. As much as they can afford to pay for they will. What Trump has probably done is tell them if you put up anti American displays you get no federal funding. That could stop them cold if they're too dependent on federal funds. That isn't censorship though. It's refusing to fund subversion. If anyone Smithsonian or otherwise wants to display anti American art they can, they just won't get the American tax payer to fund subversion and possible revolution in their own country. That's ultimately what this is about. Had these commies behaved themselves instead of using government money to attack us with propaganda, Trump would never even have bothered them at all.

@HobNoblin It is political censorship, because it rests on his interpretation of American-ness, which is not allowed to be challenged.

@SunshineGirl If that's true let them go to the public and explain how Stalin wiping his butt on the American flag or what ever they're displaying is the most American thing ever.
