My prediction from day one was that these weren't going to go through. I thought the market responding on Monday, along with Mexico and Canada saying there would be commiserate tariffs from them, would have led him to backpedal. But it took a couple of more days of the market hemorrhaging for this to potentially take place.
NOT because of the suffering Americans would face. But because of the markets. He already postponed tariffs on the auto industry.
IF this takes place, I can guar-an-freaking tee it'll be "Mexico and Canada have committed to doing what I told them to do. I win."

if tariffs are so bad then why did Biden keep the ones that Trump had put in place during his first term?

@Jake966 What legeslation did he push to create better gas and fuel prices Jake?
Secure borders? Where are the numbers for that Jake?
The militairy expenditures were slightly higher under Biden... What made Trumps' presidency so special there?
Any evidence for any of those claims would make things a lot more credible.

Well he didn't actually say anything, In fact last night he was even more hardline. Luntnick mentioned something yesterday but who knows it's total anarchy in this administration.

The eagles talons were not designed to cuddle.

@JohnnySpot Does the eagle also make tradedeals, and after 4 year pretend that those trade deals are the worst thing ever. Then blames it on another eagle and then scatches their tradepartners eyes out?

You really think that 1 day is enough time for Trump to learn from his mistake?

30 day reprieve on the auto industry
Doesnt matter Canada is not backing down enough of this flup flopping nonsense

@JimboSaturn I do not get that 30 day reprieve. Does trump think that Canada and Mexico will back off THEIR tariffs at that point?
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Punches he is trying but no go. Really the 3 auto industries pressured him.

Whenever a Republican screws up they just blame the Democrats.
