So I read a claim that Bragg is “stalling” Trump’s trial until January 2024

It was of course from a disreputable source, so I don’t buy it, but is it refutable? I mean, I imagine it’s just that the legal process, which neither I nor the vast majority of Americans understand, takes time, which broad ignorance Trump supporters would use to their advantage and say, “Oh yeah, likely story. How can you not see that this is a nakedly political witch hunt?”

Is there a more solid explanation?

Bragg has done what the other idiots have tried. brought Trump to court on bogus charges. he is going to stall for maximum advantage to keep him from running.

@akindheart While I have some empathy for your position on this, Bragg was giving what he was given. Those charges arent much. But they are real and solid. So compared to the stuff coming down the line from Georgia and the Feds, they were peanuts. Hardly worth it except for one thing. HE WAS FIRST!...His name will stand as the first DA to charge a President with a Felony.. And thats a hurdle no other DA has to jump next time..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman and that will get him a box of chocolates. from what i am seeing online , they are flimsy charges at best. but they will manage to hang something on him.

@akindheart Sorry. Thats just not true. The charges are indeed not serious.. In that its a class E felony. But they are pretty much slam dunk on the facts..The events and players are not in dispute and Trumps records back up the claims. Brag didnt do this to lose in court.. It may not be much of a win in terms of penalty. But it will be a win for Bragg..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman we will watch it play out in court. Revenge on the part of Cohen is best served cold.
