So I read a claim that Bragg is “stalling” Trump’s trial until January 2024

It was of course from a disreputable source, so I don’t buy it, but is it refutable? I mean, I imagine it’s just that the legal process, which neither I nor the vast majority of Americans understand, takes time, which broad ignorance Trump supporters would use to their advantage and say, “Oh yeah, likely story. How can you not see that this is a nakedly political witch hunt?”

Is there a more solid explanation?

Any story they can tell themselves to defend their cult leader.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It’s an intuitive story though. It makes sense to most Americans because we don’t know how the legal system works. Why can’t they just have the trial tomorrow and be done with it? I bet you can’t explain that in one paragraph.
