FINALLY! Some Trump Action..

NY State had just filed suit charging Trump and three of his children with fraud over the valuations of properties within NY state. The amount of the suit is $250 Million. It is alledged that these valuations were for the purpose of falsely inflating Trumps real Wealth for advantage as well as underpaying Taxes due.
Now if Trump is as rich as is claimed this is peanuts to him. But it does come with the rider that Trump and his kids wont be able to run businesses in NY and the Trump organisation wont be able to operate as it stands.
Further; It is my belief that this will cause the sale or seizure or some Trump properties.. And that they are so heavier encumbured that they wont realize enough to cover their indebtedness, causing more properties to be seized to clear those debts. A gaint, slow motion domino effect I have been waiting for, for some time.

Trump has been running a Ponzi scheme for most of his life. This is the start of it catching up with him. Just wait until he has to sell Mar-a-Lago.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Pitchblue He allowed a million Americans to die of covid and was more concerned with his own re-election. He would easily sell out the nation, and he may well have already done it.
@whowasthatmaskedman The only reason he has to run again is to put all of these investigations on hold for 4 years.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Pitchblue Maybe.. But my money if on France, to the Russians. The Israelis know better than to trust the Americans..😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell Actually I did, back when she was running. In particular she used the phrase "Business as usual" which considering the results sent shivers down my spine. Please note I am not about left or right. I am about what works for the most people and that boils down to who gets the money. (Granted, thats left and right)But "business as usual" clearly wasnt working. To head you off at the pass, let me say this. I believe that American politics may come out of this owing a lot to Trump. (Maybe) Without his outrageous behaviour in so many directions, the people and the media might have continued sleepwalking as the economy buried them.. But now many people are awake and angry and WATCHING.. And America might be better for that..
There is plenty of blame to go around. Every administration since Nixon has make a major misstep regarding the economy that leads America to where it is. Biden isnt doing anything great and he wont. Its going to take more than one term just to plug the leaks in the lifeboat that Trump knocked. No one is even looking back to see the ship is still sinking yet..😷

@Thinkerbell And there it is... Totally common ground we can agree on. 👍😷
Heartlander · 80-89, M
The more I hear about the FBI closing in on Trump, the more I hear about various Democrat states district attorneys closing in on Trump, the more I hear about the IRS closing in on Trump, the more I hear about lawsuits and criminal charges against Governors Abbott and DeSantis .....

... the more I'm inclined to believe that President Kennedy was murdered by elements within our own government, and that Jeff Epstein's death wasn't by suicide.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Heartlander You are a little late to the party. But welcome. Just remember, its not so much about the politics as the money and influence..😷
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I think you’re on to something. @Heartlander
All Trump properties are so heavily leveraged that the family would have nothing if they had to pay all the loans back. Except Jarad of course who got billions for selling US secrets to MBS.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Pitchblue Anything is possible there.. But the Saudis do believe in one hand washing the other, Trump looked after them with weapons and Yemem intel. They invest with his son in law. Its good business.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Jared had no proven business and got 2 billion from MBS. I wonder what US agencies are investigating that? Trump start his Presidential campaign by saying the Saudis are to blame for 911 and ends up supporting MBS rather than any US agency.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Pitchblue Yes. This is business as usual, Trump style. A couple of Billion is chump change to the Saudis.😷
Peapod · 61-69, F
I could not be happier to see he may finally have some justice served up to him. He's so used to getting away with things that boggle the mind.
graphite · 61-69, M
This is the Democrats' message here: Oppose us and we will destroy you. And your children too. Democrats just love the Soviet "justice" model.
easterniowegin · 51-55, M
A suit (civil court) is NOT the same as "charging" him with crimes.
Ppl seem too quick to conflate criminal court with civil. 🤦‍♂️
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@easterniowegin You know.. Thats all getting rather old, but thats OK. I mean you can hardly build and argument around. "He didnt do it!" Can you?😷
easterniowegin · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman what exactly is getting old? Your willful ignnorance of the current POS in office or your inability to let go of the former guy??
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@easterniowegin I suppose the current POS is no worse than a lot of previous POS Presidents America has had. But lets not pretend the President has any real say in much. He is just a symbol a figurehead of what America stands for. Currently America stands for a rather Average old guy past his use by date and I realise that hurts. But compared to the life long total waste of oxygen that has r@ped and pillaged the land and economy for four years so badly that the people threw him out (unlike most of the others, who kept there greed, theft and poor ethics under the radar) Biden is a breath of fresh air ans circuit breaker on Americas relationship with the world.😷
Heartlander · 80-89, M
I saw some of the articles on Yahoo. What I came away with was a question about whether anyone in the NY-DA office or the media ever took any courses in accounting or finance. To follow the logic, car dealers should all be arrested for posting inflated sticker prices on new automobiles, and any used car dealers should get automatic double-fines because their inflated phony prices are even higher. Or dial up any stock and check the distance between the bid and ask price. And here's the big question: how can a stock have a market price of $1,000 a share when it earns zero, and has a book value of near zero?
graphite · 61-69, M
@Heartlander There's an overpriced home about 10 feet from where I'm sitting. Let's send in the FBI helicopters!
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@graphite

I spent a few years developing financial software as an independent contractor. It wasn't unusual for me to charge $5,000 for what I did and the persons I did it for book it for $500,000. It's how value gets created.

It's like the $1,000 stock price for a company that's losing money and has near zero book value. It's worth $1,000 because someone "thinks" it's worth $1,000, and they are willing to pay that price or lend money against it.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Heartlander Thats the investment myth. Never confuse a stock price with Profit. And P/E ratios have been falling for years..😷
akindheart · 61-69, F
as we get nearer to the election, you will see desperate moves of which I am sure Trump is ready for. now they are pitting Trump against DeSantis.
graphite · 61-69, M
While NYC crime soars into the stratosphere, the NY AG is busy misusing her office against a politician she doesn't like. Nice move, NY, electing this loser.

My guess is that the dingbat will escape justice because world events will get in the way. Russia will nuke Ukraine or someplace remote and we'll have to figure out a response. The stock markets will tank. Everything will be paralyzed while the radiatioactive fallout drifts around. No one will be thinking about Trump anymore.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Supply chains will be dead for years. You can figure out the rest. The would probably be only one event but that would be enough. On the bright side, I don't think we'd never have to worry about Russia anymore.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Tastyfrzz or much of a Europe.. Of course. There is the middle east. But Israel will deal with that..
😷
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Perhaps, but then again there may be a stunned silence that prevents that from happening.

I hope this isn't just a show.
@Mamapolo2016 Probably not entirely a show, but I'd be cautious about expecting direct results.

This one is really weird with a State AG publicly referring a civil case to the Feds.
They should also seize their overseas properties.
It'll be interesting to see how long a civil case will take after pre-suit state investigation/discovery and Trump taking the Fifth to every question asked.

There's usually plenty of reasons why civil suits wait until after criminal proceedings, but this one's a little wonky with likely no insurace coverage issues, a pretty obvious apparent motive to cripple him financially, a ton of semi-available PAC money to throw at defending it, and all the claims appearing to be non-dischargeable in bankruptcy.

Alina Habba is going to be on the spot with this one, even if Trump can afford to give her help.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MistyCee Another domino in the mix. If he uses the PAC money, and gets caught using it wrongly, he can be charged with that as well. And he is not exactly meticulous in thinking these things through.. I do think we are seeing the first move on this house of cards. Those civil charges were almost a biproduct of the criminal investigation and its all linked ..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman No doubt it's all linked. Flip side, though, is the lawyers signing on to defend the civil cases will need to be paid up front, and I think (ok, hope) that anyone picking up his case and planning on getting paid by Trump supporters donations will have to factor in disgorgements and their own potential criminal liability.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MistyCee I predict the first time Trump is forced to take the stand and fails to remember to plead the fifth at least one of his legal team will suicide..😷

@MistyCee Trump has called Latitia James Racist. He will do or say anything to slither out of these charges. The man is amoral. He doesn't care who he affects with his actions. It's vebal diarrhea but his MAGA fans are listening. Their ears perk up when they hear Dotard use the word Racist. He's talking their language.
@Tres13 That's actually not a bad point. Trump never got a chance to confront a named accuser. And he didn't have to, because people were ok with the the fact that it wasn't fair to subject him to a perjury trap.

While NYC descends into utter chaos, the AG focuses on her only priority: Getting Trump

My guess is they want the means to bankrupt him and then give him a exit ramp by lowering the temperature of the MAGA mob

@Pitchblue whilst "Broadway Joe and Sons Inc is up to their necks in China and Ukraine....
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@plungesponge They will hurt Trump's creditors more than they hurt Trump himself. I would imagine that any bank that holds a lien on any of Trump's assets would be getting pretty pissed off at the New York DA about now.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Heartlander Thats quite true. However, all the "reputable" American banks. (There is next weeks oxymoron for you) have already refused to deal with Trump. Which is how he cgot in bed with Deutsche Bank in the first place. And Deutche back, ironically are the ones who turned over all the damning finincial details on him, under threat of having their US banking licence suspended. It is strunning what facts are out there on Public record if you know where to look. Including the fact that Deutche bank have already "forgiven" all moneys owed by Trump to them. We can speculate as their motives. High on my list is thet they know Trumps financial position better than anyone and figure they wont see a dime, because there isnt one.. And second because its really bad for business to have their records dragged out into open court and the media to put their client in jail.. Russian banks on the other hand have already said they will be coming after Trump in US court for hundreds of Millions..😷
