In case anyone doesn't realize he's stalling?

After Trump's initial sanctionworthy filing, and the judge's explaining to his lawyers like they were three year olds, I guess this shouldn't be a surprise.

Let's fight over whether objections should be submitted in camera and delay a little longer, why don't we, allow the national security threat and the demonstrated pattern of obstruction of justice to continue.

At this point, I almost don't care about the case, or Trump, as much as the fact that his Contempt for, and abuse of the law should not be countenanced.

The DOJ gave Cannon an alternative to an immediate appeal of a bad ruling, albeit one that served justice and judicial efficiency, hence it was one Trump couldn't agree with.

And, tbh, as frivolous and transparent as this crap is, its pretty sharp, because in the minds of Trumpists, it'll be one more act of injustice against Trump if he's not allowed everything he whines about.

In a filing Monday, Trump’s lawyers said the former president "objects to the proposed nominees of the Department of Justice," and believes there are "specific reasons why those nominees are not preferred for service as Special Master in this case."

Trump’s lawyers said that the federal judge presiding over the case, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, required a list of proposed candidates, but "did not specify whether that is to include specific advocacy as to why certain nominees are or are not suitable to serve as Special Master."

"[Trump] also submits it is more respectful to the candidates from either party to withhold the bases for opposition from a public, and likely be widely circulated, pleading," the filing states, asking for the court for "permission to specifically express our objections to the Government’s nominees only at such a time that the Court specifies a desire to obtain and consider that information."

Trump’s lawyers said that information could then be provided "in camera" or "pursuant to whatever procedure the Court deems most efficient and appropriate."

"Consistent with that approach, [Trump] is willing to provide our specific rationale for supporting our nominees if and when the Court so orders," the filing states.

I agree that the contemp for law is at the heart of the problem.

When is the judge supposed to finish reviewing names?
Q@Northwest She never gave herself a deadline and now Trump is asking for a new scheduling order, additional briefing and a new scheduling order before she picks one.

I'm tempted to hope she says F this, let's the DOJ appeal and we have a half a hope of sane adults managing this garbage.

Is Trump Invited to Queen Elizabeths Funeral I know all the presidents will be there
@JohnOinger Sounds like 1) he wasn't, and 2) the UK punted and let the current admin decide which former heads of state would be.

Sounds like a sharp move by the UK.

@JohnOinger He cant find his passport....
in the minds of Trumpists, it'll be one more act of injustice against Trump if he's not allowed everything he whines about.

Good point.
Although the legal shenanigans are probably not necessary to convince the clan of that.
