When did Donald Trump become so religious?

Seems to go on about God and Christianity at rallies. Was he religious before he got involved in politics? or is he just pretending?

When he figured out he could manipulate people with it. It's incredulous to me that anyone really believes he is a man of deep faith. If he was, he could never say and do the things he has done and continues to do.

Back when he was 5 years old his father Fred stared taking him to Sunday services at a little church by their home. Then one Sunday when he was 6 years old Donald Trump was looking at the sunshine beam through a stain glass window and he was filled with the Holy Sprit and he decided to devout his life to serving God. Just kidding Donald Trump doesn't have a religious bone in his body - religion is just a tool that Trump uses to con people. Cheers and happy weekend!
From what I have seen he has admired people like televangelists because of their ability to scam people so easily.
Trump wasn’t religious before and he certainly isn’t now. But the Christian Right here like his brand of nationalism so that’s the crowd he’s playing to at present. He used an Easter message to attack his political enemies. How very Christian of him. 🙄
“Happy Easter to all including the Radical Left Maniacs who are doing everything possible to destroy our Country," he wrote. "May they not succeed, but let them, nevertheless, be happy, healthy, wealthy, and well!”
Like most politicians, he'll say anything if he thinks it'll get him what he wants

When it benefits him, of course. While I would never claim to know what someone else's personal relationship with God is...I do know that asking for forgiveness and repenting of sins is a big part of what being a Christian is.

You can’t win an election without being a person of faith. Or at least pretending.
@basilfawlty89 Hillary lost, die mad. And you won't be drinking tequilas with the evil one, junior, you'll be in eternal torment.

@CactusJackManson I don't give a crap about Hilary or Trump. And you're not going to be in heaven, you'll be worn food or ashes.
@basilfawlty89 Who's Hilary? Heaven is exactly where I'll be, dog. Repent.

Here is a better question it has been shown because he released his tax return that Biden 13 million that he can not explain and did not pay taxes on and IRS is not going to even review his returns. This from the guy who says come on man pay your fair share.....

Common practice of GOP politicians, much of their base support comes from people obsessed with “born again” behaviors.

as opposed to biden, whose either too ashamed of, or just can't remember the word "God"?
