Any of you UK people want to enlighten us on what’s going on with Boris Johnson? Yeah discuss him instead of US affairs that do NOT concern you. ☺️

Thank you in advance for removing yourselves from American politics!

Maybe America should REMOVE themselves from world affairs, as we know they have a fantastic track record 😁
@TexChik so true Tex… and some Americans are even oblivious and apathetic to US politics!
TexChik · F
@NoGamesTolerated that is a whole other sh*t storm! Ugh!
@TexChik yup yup 👍

He's resigned as leader of Conservative party but not yet as prime minister. He'll resign that once new leader is elected, probably end of summer so 3 months.
The new leader will then go to see the Queen and ask to form a government thus making them PM.
However some are saying he should go and the deputy pm stand in.
@OldBrit And here I thought the Queen was only serving to keep tradition intact.

Nope intregal part of the state. We have the state opening of Parliament. One of most important times for her to appear and rare outing of the Imperial State Crown only worn at that and in later part of coronation after St Edwards Crown used for the actual moment of corronation. Then imperial state to leave the Abbey showing her position as Head of state.

As I say [big]all[/big] legislation has to be signed by her to become law. Without her nothing can happen.
@OldBrit Thanks for enlightening me. I appreciate that. Now I know just how important she is to the UK…

Things that happen in the US do matter to the whole world. That's why domestic US affairs concern everyone.
@helenS Helen. I like you so I won’t say what I usually say.. but even so it’s still not their business. They are not here and haven’t a clue. It is not appreciated by the average American. Seriously they need to see their big noses out!

I don't even really know as British politics is boring af. He had some parties during lockdown in 2020, which suddenly came to people's attention last year because the media probably had some sort of agenda in wanting everyone to find out. It seems like because he did this, a lot of people started to hate him and it's been decided by his party that they don't want him anymore. Apparently he also knew about some guy being accused of sexual harassment but lied about it. There's probably some people who have a view of replacing him, and also they may be thinking about who they can present to the public as a viable person to vote for in the next general election in 2024.

Anyway, Russia is very pleased with his resignation.
@SW-User ohhh
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@SW-User That's not going to change. People in the UK are massively in favour of Ukraine.

@ninalanyon Yeah, I noticed.

He’s a twat, the country hate him, he got caught out lying and breaking the law, his party lost confidence in him and finally he’s doing the right thing and stepping down. Uk politics are a mess but women have their rights and kids are safe in schools so it ain’t all bad
@SW-User I don't think I could improve on that response. 👍
@SW-User hmmm women are safe here too and so are their own babies in the womb…

Boris does not want to go even if his buddies have resigned, lol.
dubum · 51-55, M
I don't mind B. Johnson. Kinda like him. Especially his hair though. He look silly and unique that way.
ravenhill · M
i feel bad for johnson, he tried his best.
helenS · 36-40, F
@ravenhill It's always difficult to state what people try to do, because we cannot look into their souls ("Judge not, that ye be not judged").
All we can judge is what they say, and what they do, not what they are. And BoJo partied at Downing Street while other people were not allowed to see their parents when they were dying of covid. He did not abide by rules he imposed on others.

Well, every Idiot on this planet is of concern as it has global impact.
@Khenpal1 You friend, talk like a foolish man! Very proud American here.
Khenpal1 · M
@NoGamesTolerated Well , most right wingers never left their own state , bunch of hillbillies with view how world should be 😂
@Khenpal1 say good bye dude. Foolishness never ends with some dimwits.

Gas prices in my country suck. 😠

Also why are you talking about UK politics on my post?
@SinlessOnslaught Your post? Get outta here…
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
chrisCA · M
Maybe the Brits are not obsessed about sharing their politics on social media, unlike some Americans?
@chrisCA oh my word… but they sure share American politics all over this board and most don’t have a clue. Yeah…. They have opinions but all they have is lying, twisted media and a vile hatred of Trump! Yeah.. that’s right. They need to hush and focus on their own country! Believe me I’m saying what 75 % of Americans feel.

Be less insane and it won't be as interesting 😇
@Ryannnnnn Do you not discern the intention of this post? 🙄

@Ryannnnnn I don’t like your attitude kid. You will be gone from this post and any future post of mine. You are rude and offer nothing interesting here. Bye… Bye👋
