It's true that Nazi Germany was trying to do so. I don't think Hitler personally oversaw the experiments. Funny thing is, there was a guy who looked exactly like Hitler, who was just a run of the mill German citizen. He ended up in one of the death camps because he was considered to be of inferior stock.
